What can we learn from conscious communities? How can we apply this wisdom in the wider world and within ourselves? These are just some of the questions we will explore in the European Ecovillage Conference 2018 , inspired by the beautiful surroundings of the community of Lilleoru, Estonia.
Under the theme of The wisdom of conscious communities , the conference will focus on the knowledge and tools that support the conscious development and practical application of consciousness to effect internal change, so that we can change the world around us.

This annual event, which brings together members of hundreds of intentional communities from all over Europe, offers world-class speakers, exhibitions, workshops, a meeting place to inspire and be inspired. The Global Ecovillage Network is a coalition of ecovillages or intentional communities, which holistically integrate ecological, social and economic sustainability into regenerative life patterns. GEN Europe connects, sustains and disseminates the work of ecovillages and communities across Europe.
In addition, each year the annual conference showcases the ingenuity of its members in Eco-Village Technologies for Sustainability Exhibition , a demonstration laboratory that teaches technological inventions such as solar ovens, thermo-composting heating system, water purifiers, etc. designed in the European Ecovillages.

What is GEN, Global Ecovillage Network?

The Global Ecovillage Network was founded 20 years ago and represents more than 100 countries on 5 continents. GEN Europe it is a network that connects, sustains and disseminates the work of ecovillages and communities. The network offers consulting and coordination to communities throughout Europe as well as supporting interdependence projects, including a youth exchange program, a project promoted by communities to support refugees from forced migration, advocacy and support for grassroots organizations aimed at increasing awareness about climate change. GEN-Europe is represented in Brussels under the umbrella of ECOLISE , along with other intercontinental networks; Furthermore, it has been an advisory body to the United Nations on education for more than 10 years.
