One more year, the RIE (Iberian Ecovillage Network) will celebrate its summer meeting, this time the Community of Los Portales (Seville) Drains the hostess of the event. For more than 20 years it has been the best opportunity to meet, share and celebrate new forms of collective, community and alternative life.

This year’s meeting will take place from June 28 to July 1, 2018 and it is open to all who want to participate. During the four days that the meeting lasts, we will share knowledge and experiences in workshops and talks and there will be spaces to meet each other, enjoy music, games, projects, products and seeds.

Los Portales, is one of the oldest communities in the State, has been co-creating a place for more than thirty years to learn to live in a shared, autonomous and responsible way. From his vision, the community is the fruit of a process of personal, relational, ecological and social transformation. Throughout these years they have shared the interior work with the garden, the regeneration of the landscape, the incursions in new forms of governance, in conflict resolution dynamics, in the inclusion of renewable energies, … The Los Portales community defines itself as a living being in permanent transformation.

Each year, the RIE meetings are different because they are held in different communities and each host community experience leaves its character and its essence. From Amalurra we encourage you to participate in this meeting and enjoy Los Portales, a wonderful community that we love and with which we feel very close.

About the Ecovillage Meeting

Every summer, since 1998, we celebrate the Annual Meeting of Ecovillages and Communities. It is about a few days in which the members of the Iberian Ecovillage Network (RIE) get together to offer workshops and inspiration to the hundreds of people who come. Share, tell us how we are doing, learn from our different walks … The pleasure of seeing each other and celebrating that we are still on the road.

Every summer a different Ecovillage welcomes us all and thus we get to know its project, its inhabitants, its illusions. Each Encounter is always a different experience. Each place an adventure, for those who organize it and for whom we go. Workshops of all kinds, contacts, songs, exhibitions, laughter, hugs, walks, meetings, … the pleasure of meeting us and the affection in RED.
