Experience Week Amalurra

The Experience Week Amalurra, EWA It is a meeting of young people from different places who come together to live together, share and have fun integrating themselves into the community life of Amalurra. The camp brings together young people between the ages of 15 and 30 for a week of cultural, sports and relationship activities and experiences. The young participants have agreed that: “… What we experience at EWA is the enjoyment of doing things together, fellowship and contact with nature… especially UNION… ”They said in a circle of words.

Around the motto “Living in community” the program is based on promoting the universal values of companionship, teamwork, leadership, effective communication, care of the land and respect for the natural habitat, responsibility and development of personal skills of each one. contributing them to the common good.!

The idea arose as a result of the participation of the youth of Amalurra in the meetings of Ayudh in Germany , an NGO Embracing the world of lacking humanitarian that brings together hundreds of young people at an international level every year.

These types of encounters, inspired by universal values and that promote respect for others and for nature, are already a trend in the field of communities and ecovillages.

The program is intense, every morning the young people participate in the different tasks of the community: vegetable garden, gardening, cooking, … and in the afternoon a great diversity of activities are planned from cultural and artistic such as creative painting in the open air, music therapy or dance to other more sporting ones such as hiking, archery, ginkanas and also yoga. In addition, others have been included that have to do with the essence and dynamics of the Amalurra community itself, such as word circles or some traditions rooted in the earth, such as gathering around fire.

Every morning the day starts with yoga exercises, and after breakfast and the camp motto, “ … .Eeeeeeee… WA !!! ”It begins with the community tasks that we do as a group. There are tasks of all kinds and they are all outdoors: pruning and cleaning many corners of the extensive community garden, collecting vegetables in the garden, caring for the garden with formulas of regenerative organic agriculture and efficient microorganisms (EM). Group work helps us progress faster and unite with the same goal. We make ourselves a pineapple!

In the afternoons a great diversity of cultural and artistic activities are carried out such as creative painting in the open air, music therapy, massage and dance to other more sporting ones such as hiking (to the surrounding mountains), archery, cooperative games, rural sports Basques (herri kirolak), ginkanas … In addition, others have been included that have to do with the essence and dynamics of the community of Amalurra itself, such as word circles or some traditions rooted in the earth, such as gathering around the fire in the teepee.
